Loving Heavenly Father,

Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clean hearts. May Christmas morning make us happy to be Thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake.

a time for joy and love

This is a special time of year
a joyous occasion for all
to celebrate the birth
of a beautiful baby boy
Our Savior Jesus Christ

was to grow and to suffer

this Christmas
show your thankfulness
by doing for others
It doesn't take a lot
to make someone happy
to show love
to show that you care
sometimes all that is needed
 is a smile
a kind word or two
even a hug will often do
these gifts don't cost a thing
except a small portion of your time
It's worth it to see a sad face smile
to feel the warmth of a hug returned
these gifts are more important
then all the gifts that money can buy
So this Christmas
give the gift of love, kindness and happiness
reach out to someone
who seems lonely and downhearted
your smile or kind words
or gentle hug
could make the world of difference
to someone's life this Christmas
