OUR HARBOR OF PROTECTION

“But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety.”

Deuteronomy 12: 10

King James Version

There are times when Jesus protects us and we are unaware of it. An incident occurred yesterday where Jesus was protecting me and I didn’t even realize it until an hour after it happened. I did a very foolish thing yesterday. A couple of days ago, someone had torn down the shed in between my trailer and the one in front of me but the man had left a lot of junk lying there.

Yesterday someone came to my door and asked me if he could come in and use my bathroom to change his pants so he could pick up the junk and haul it away. He said the owner of the trailer park had sent him. When he said the owner had sent him, I very foolishly allowed him to come inside. He was in the bathroom about ten minutes and then left. I got up to lock the door and he had left in his truck without taking the junk with him. The owner said that he had not sent that man here.

Had it not been for Jesus protecting me, I could have been hurt very badly, raped, or even killed. Thank God for our harbor of protection, Jesus! Not only does Jesus protect us physically, He protects us emotionally. He stands guard and blocks the poisonous darts of satan and the world. What a Protector, this Jesus of Nazareth!

Are you safe in the harbor of salvation? Have you made a heart commitment to Jesus and asked Him to forgive you of your sins and be your personal Saviour? If not, please don’t wait because we don’t know when He is coming back for us. Don’t miss out on spending eternity with Jesus!
