OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

Luke 2: 10 – 12

King James Version

Our Saviour came to us as a little baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. He had to lay in a manger because nobody had any room for Him. Sad to say, even today many people haven’t made room for Him in their hearts and lives. If we want to go on a vacation, we don’t have any problem getting up early in the morning, yet we are unwilling to get up early in the morning to spend time with Jesus.

Our Saviour comes to us every day with His unconditional Love. Many times we fail Him during the day but He waits with His arms open and a compassionate heart to forgive us and encourage us. He Loves us so much that mere words could never express the depths of His Love. What an awesome privilege to be loved by the Saviour of the world!

Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us because of His great Love for us. There is nobody like Jesus! Nobody loves like Jesus. Our families, loved ones and friends could never love us like He does. It is a privilege even to say the name of Jesus. His Name is above every name and it thrills my soul just to whisper His precious Name. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Jesus gives us His Love unconditionally. The question we need to ask ourselves is “Do I love Jesus and if so, what am I doing to prove to Him that I love Him?” You may be saved but do you really love Him? Are you giving your best to our Saviour?
