"He" Lyrics below the Poem

Lean On Me

When everything goes wrong,
When you are not strong,
Lean on me, I will set you free
For I hold contentment's key.

When shoulders can't bear
Your burden carried there
And you're filled with despair,
Lean on me through prayer.

When tribulations weigh heavy,
When troubles breach the levee
And problems are all you can see,
You can always depend on me.

When worry and woe overwhelm
Just ask me to take life's helm,
I will comfort and steer you through
Heartaches that have befallen you.

Whether you be child, woman or man
You have but to reach for my hand,
Whether your sufferings be great or small
I am the soothing reliever of them all.

I am the true comforter of mankind,
I heal afflictions and ease worried minds,
I am your strength when you are weak,
Your ray of hope when life is bleak.

I am the beacon of everlasting light,
I will help you through the darkest night,
When you pray, I will hear your plea,
When you are weakest, just lean on me.

Lyrics

"He"

He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea,
He alone decides who writes the symphony.
He lights every star that makes our darkness bright.
He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night.
He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer,
Saint or sinner call and always find Him there,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive."

He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer,
Saint or sinner call and always find Him there,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive!"
He can grant a wish or make a dream come true.
He can paint the clouds and turn the grey to blue.
He alone knows where to find the rainbow's end,
He alone can see what lies beyond the bend.
He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie that you and I have told,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive."

He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie that you and I have told,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He will always say, "I forgive!"
