If you knew a heart was breaking
would you take the time to pray? . . .
Would you ask the Lord to heal
take the heavy stone away? ~

If you knew by just exploring
some reasons for their weeping . . .
Would you take time to discover
the wounded spirit they've been keeping? ~

Would you change the circumstances
willing be, to do your part ? . . .
cry out to God for answers
to help mend an aching heart? ~

If you knew that lives were bruised
by some careless words you've spoken . . .
Would you do all within your power
to stop them from being broken? ~

I'm just asking IF YOU KNEW
you'd brought hurt too hard to bear . . .
Would you even make the effort
to restore ~ reclaim ~ repair? ~

It's a question worth considering
if to Jesus you are true . . .
Would you go that second mile
to right the wrong ~ IF YOU KNEW?
